I'm a fussy eater so I don't care about all the fancy food they show off. Partying every weekend sounds mentally draining. If I wanted a six pack badly enough I could go to the gym. I'm more envious of the fact they're rich enough to even fake that lifestyle being their every week than anything else. but most people have more important things to do with their lives, I know I do. All I'm saying is - that stuff isn't out of reach, if you're willing to dedicate your life to working on them. or if maybe you're a little happier where you're at than you first thought. Beating yourself up over how you'll never be as good as someone else is just ridiculous - take stock of what you can do, realize that you can actually do a lot, and then decide for yourself if it's all worth doing. It's not like there's something intrinsically unathletic about my body.īut you know what I like a lot more than being in shape? Eating food and playing videogames. Like - I know for a fact that if I wanted to get ripped, if I wanted to get to the kind of shape where I could walk 20 miles in a day, do 100 pushups, I don't know, have nice washboard abs - I could do it. I started this cuz I saw a group of 18-20 year olds at a restaurant, and they were doing nothing but staring at their phones.

I am more “present” and conversation flows a lot more. I’ve noticed my attention span has increased drastically, my critical thinking is a lot better, I am way less irritable and stressed about things, my memory is INSANELY better, and I also have better interactions & connect better with people IRL. Since the beginning of the year, I haven’t really exceeded 30-35 mins on my phone a day, except on weekends when I watch a lot of YouTube before bed haha. I completely deleted Snapchat and twitter, only go on IG if I get a good picture of something outside or on my farm, and I very occasionally use FB messenger to keep in touch with old friends who have moved away. I have allotted times for myself when I check my phone, I go on almost nothing but reddit anymore. I really think social media time should be limited to 30 mins or less a day.
